ENRICHING LIVES THROUGH THE ART AND JOY OF DANCE EDUCATION

IMG_3824.JPG

Ashley Ballet Arts Academy (ABAA) was established in 2012 to provide exceptional training in ballet and its related arts to students of all ages and abilities. Our mission has always been to enrich lives through the art and joy of dance education – whether a student aspires to become a professional dancer, or they plan to pursue a different career, our doors are open to everyone with the drive to learn.

Students will find a complete ballet program at ABAA, crafted to serve the earliest pre-dance levels starting at three years old, through pre-professional students and adults. We are proud to offer instruction to suit every age and level, ensuring that there is truly something for every dancer. The school follows a well-developed syllabus for each class, influenced by the Vaganova method of ballet technique. Performance opportunities throughout the season, including The Nutcracker, Défilé, and the Ballet Arts Youth Ensemble's annual dance concert allow dancers to apply their technique in the rewarding environment of live stage performance.

We believe that every student should receive an excellent dance education, giving them the chance to develop a lifelong appreciation of dance. We take pride in curating a nurturing and comfortable, yet disciplined and stimulating, studio culture where each child receives not only excellent ballet and dance training, but also a fostering of their inner self.

Each of our faculty members is an experienced teacher with a professional dance career and/or a formal degree in dance. Our small class sizes and dedicated instructors, along with opportunities for private instruction and programs like the Ballet Arts Youth Ensemble, allow every student to develop relationships with trusted mentors and grow as dancers and individuals.

Below, watch clips of our classes in action, and hear ABAA Owner and Founder Ashley Burkland explain the ABAA philosophy, class structure, and opportunities our students may experience. Thank you to Miles Heille for the production of these videos.
